I have a wood, H Bet marked USN, # 4166, it plays as well as its competition of the time, Pedler, Pruefer, G W Bundy etc. Hi Roman - You have a quite good clarinet, made by a well-respected maker of the 1920-40's era. If it's a Boehm-system clarinet (LP or "Low Pitch"), it's probably 1920s-vintage, possibly as late as early '30s. Please, anybody out there, please give me some information on this mysterious instrument. I got this of ebay and it came from the store Phillip Werlein Ltd. I have been trying to find websites with serial numbers but all I get is Cundy-Bettoney not H. Hi! I just bought a Harry Bettoney Boston Massachusetts clarinet and I don't know what's it made of or how old it is.
