Michael Yessis is President of Sports Training, Inc. Professor Verkhoshansky serves as scientific consultant to the National Olympic Committee of Italy and is Professor at the University of Rome.ĭr. In 1992 he was elected President of the International Association on Theory and Methodology of Training in Elite Sports at the International Sports Scientific Congress in Israel. In addition, he served as head of the Scientific Research Laboratory in programming of training and physiology of sports work capacity. At that time he was a professor at the State Central Institute for Physical F.ducation and at the Elite Coaches' School. For many years he was a track and field coach and served as senior coach of the Moscow United Team in the jump events. He is a prominent tigure in the field of explosive strength training and is known as one of the greatest experts of our times in the theory of sports training.
